About Crossmine

CrossMine launched our beta release in June 2008 to provide the definitive directory of tech ventures in the Washington, D.C. region. CrossMine.com started with 400+ venture capital funded companies and now all venture funded, angel funded, and privately held technology companies in the Washington, D.C. area can register their profiles to improve their ability to be found by consumers and companies searching for the ventures that are driving the regional economy.

With our beta release, our goal is to help the 26,000 technology companies in the region be more easily found by consumers and company employees seeking jobs, products and services, business partners, and investment candidates. CrossMine also provides an option for technology employees to find and connect with peers at external companies with common geography, industry, or stage of development. In 2009, CrossMine will be expanding our services to other technology regions across the United States.

The CrossMine service is made possible by advanced Ruby on Rails technologies from Barg Upender and Intridea, cloud computing from Amazon Web Services, and angel investments by leading Washington area entrepreneurs.
