(McLean, Va.) CrossMine, a McLean-based start-up founded by serial entrepreneur Bob Nelson, has launched a beta version of its online directory of venture funded, angel funded and privately held technology companies in the DC area. Later this year, CrossMine said that it will begin expanding to other technology regions across the U.S. Nelson was a co-founder and CEO of voice email company CrossMedia Networks, and later joined VeriSign as the entrepreneur-in-residence in its Ventures Group. In 2002, he started the East Coast branch of the St. Louis-based voice authentication company TradeHarbor.
